TAYLOR PRICE

Curator, CAAM

Taylor Nicole Price is a dynamic Bay Area native with passions ranging from creative direction to archival research. She is an alumna of New York University where she unearthed her purpose through anthropological research, documentary filmmaking, and policy analysis. Taylor has held positions in marketing, public media, and tech as both a Producer and Editor working collaboratively across disciplines including marketing strategy, multimedia campaigns, brand development, and creative production from conception to launch.

Her independent work revolves around the themes of belonging and selfhood, with particular interest in the concept and feeling of "at home." Exploring how home is created, sustained, destroyed is a personal inquisition as Taylor grapples with the changing cultural landscape of her home. She describes her artistic and professional journey as an explorative nod to the Bay Area, and all of its incredible contributions to the world.

Taylor is a keen observer of her environment, a passionate keeper of history and culture, and an idealistic forecaster of the future. The mission behind her work is to actively preserve Black American history, tradition, and culture, and promote radical thought on the urban Black American experience.
